The 2023 +Ritme is a white produced with Garnacha Blanca from two plots that he says has the soul of a red, perhaps because of the 15% alcohol it achieved. Thirty percent of the volume fermented and matured in new French oak barrels for 11 months and the rest was kept in stainless steel. It has a golden color and an intensely Mediterranean nose with hints of hay and straw, pollen and ripe yellow fruit. It's dense and velvety, with pungent ripe flavors and a nuanced finish.
8,976 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2024. Ritme Celler is the Priorat project from Albert Jané, who now owns 14 hectares and works another six, all organically farmed, to produce 65,000 bottles, given the reduction in yields in the last few years. The style is very ripe, concentrated and oaky, a style I have more and more difficulties with each year.
